BLACK HISTORY MONTH

In collaboration with the Cincinnati Art Museum, explore the history, arts and culture of the Black experience in the US. Thanks to Julia Almaguer for sharing this little gem: 28 Days of Black History

BLACK MOVEMENT THOUGHT

Starting tomorrow at 9 pm you can join Lynn Burnett, who was absolutely amazing as the facilitator of the White Antiracist seminar in January. Each month, he’ll pair a text from a figure in Black movement history with a text from a contemporary movement thinker… starting with Stokely Carmichael’s thoughts on the meaning and purpose of power, paired with Alicia Garza’s. One of the goals of this series is to introduce us to Black Freedom Movement thinkers, both past and present, in a way that is super accessible. The readings are short, the meetings only 1 hour. You’ll learn a lot, find some inspiration, and build some community in a short time (no, seriously; in one of my breakout groups, there was a woman who moved from Blue Ash to Santa Cruz! We had a good laugh about that 😉 Register here

MUSE is seeking a business manager; job description here.
