This week at the Ohio Senate
The Ohio Senate removed funding for foodbanks from the proposed state budget bill despite record demand for services and rising food costs. In addition, senators added harmful SNAP and Medicaid provisions that reduce access to basic food and healthcare assistance. This is an alarming setback to ensuring dignified food access for all Ohioans. Join the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and Ohio Association of Foodbanks in calling on the Ohio Senate to restore funding for Ohio foodbanks and remove these harsh new limits on SNAP and Medicaid. Help us fight hunger by calling or emailing your Ohio Senator and Ohio Senate leadership.
