Feeding America projects that 42 million people (1 in 8), including 13 million children (1 in 6), may experience food insecurity in America in 2021. Here in the metro Cincinnati area, more than 270,000 households experience food insecurity. The Avondale Shiloh Food Pantry is a major Social Justice focus area here at First Church. Our volunteers and financial support are essential to the pantry's operations. While the Pantry is in Avondale, we welcome and serve anyone appearing at our doorstep. We one of the largest pantries in Hamilton County and an important source of food for many impoverished families. The need is even greater now, given the disproportionate impact the pandemic inflicts these families.
