Come enjoy some great rhythm & blues with your church friends on Friday evening, April 23! Chris Dendy’s group, featuring the famed Lady Joya, will be playing in the church parking lot from 6-8pm. Bring your own food & drinks, lawn chairs, and masks! We’ll be socially distancing, and not entering church (even for restrooms) – but it will be a great time anyway. You don’t want to miss this fun evening on April 23. This busy band donated their time & talents to our Heart & Hand Auction - and the bidders are giving this gift of music and fellowship back to the church. Google Lady Joya and you’ll find out: “Her exuberant stage presence and powerful, soulful voice continue to delight audiences with her interpretations of the great R&B tunes from the likes of Etta James, Nina Simone, Koko Taylor and many others. To see Lady Joya perform is to know that joy is not only part of her name, it’s who she is…Placed third place out of 16 bands at the 2019 Cincy Blues Challenge…This ‘Angel of the Blues’ lights up the room (or parking lot!) with her effervescent personality and warm smile”. See you all on Friday, Apr 23 at 6pm!
