Please join us for a REALLY special Sunday when Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post reporter and co-author of the forthcoming book Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality, appears in our pulpit to discuss her latest book. Love Wins tells the story of the Supreme Court's decision to uphold marriage equality through the eyes of plaintiff, Jim Obergefell, and his lawyer, our own Al Gerhardstein. Cenziper began work on this book a year before the final Supreme Court case. The book has been optioned for a movie with 20th Century Fox, and there is a screenwriter currently working on a film adaptation. Mr. Obergefell co-wrote the book, and Ms. Cenziper interviewed many people, including Rev. Dittmar, to get a better under-standing of Al, his UU faith and commitment to civil rights. We will recognize Al Gerhardstein for another achievement, his selection as recipient of the 2016 UUA Holmes Weatherley Award. This will also be Rev. Dittmar's last Sunday with us. Please come celebrate!
