the Board will provide a workshop for our congregation members that will help them:Understand the role of change in personal and organizational successUnderstand that change affects individuals, teams and organizations differentlyIdentify and manage the phases of changeLook at change through the lens of diversityThere are few guarantees today. However, change is one of them.  More than ever, organizations and their environments are in a state of flux; and this is definitely true at First Church.  Some changes are planned, and others are unplanned.  Sometimes the forces for change are internal; sometimes they are caused by external conditions. The need for the members of our congregation to cope with change, whether the changes are at church or in each of our daily lives, requires us to be competent in dealing with and managing change.   Having a minister of color will be a change for our congregation.  This workshop will provide thoughts on preparing ourselves individually and as a congregation for this upcoming change as well.Facilitator Priya KlocekPriya is a human resource professional with experience working with a variety of organization on employee development, change management, global diversity and cultural awareness.
